There are a wide variety of activities for women of all ages to get involved with and opportunities to encourage one another – from special events to regular groups.
We often have guest events to invite friends along to – which are ideal if you don’t usually come to church but would be interested in finding out more about Jesus. Whether you like getting dressed up for a meal out or prefer a cozy craft evening at someone’s home, there are a range of events to come along to throughout the year. The annual Christmas craft event in November is very popular.
The annual Northern Women’s Convention is a time for encouraging Bible teaching, seminars, and meeting with women from all over the north.
Mums’ Bible Study Group
Meeting on a Friday morning – with a crèche, this group is ideal for Mums’ with babies or pre-school children. as well as other ladies who are able to meet during the daytime. This friendly group meets at 9.30am at the Vicarage on alternate weeks during term time.
The Mothers’ Union group meets once a month at St John’s to fellowship and to widen their knowledge of Christian work throughout the world. We often have guest speakers.
Women’s House Fellowship
Meeting in the afternoon on the first Tuesday of the month, the women’s house fellowship is an opportunity to meet with our ladies and enjoy listening to various visiting speakers.
