Visiting?

We are a friendly church family and enjoy welcoming new people and visitors. Whether you have lots of questions about life and faith, rarely think about church, used to go in the past, or are completely new — you are warmly welcome at any of our services throughout the week.

Our normal pattern of services is:

Sunday Mornings

9.45am – St Peter’s, Kingmoor | 10.30am – St John’s, Houghton
A welcoming and engaging service with Sunday School or activities for children.

Monthly All Age Services – on the first Sunday of each month, we enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly time together with something for all ages to connect with.

Sunday Afternoons

4.00pm – 4LIFE at St Peter’s, Kingmoor
An informal and relaxed service – some weeks are all-age, and others have groups for children and young people.

Thursday Mornings

11.00am – St Peter’s, Kingmoor
A short, reflective service with hymns, Bible reading, a talk and prayers, followed by coffee and conversation.

Church Family Weekend: Friday 9th – Sunday 11th October, at St John’s Houghton

Partnership: with Caroline Hetherington from Safer Families, Wednesday 21st October, 6.30 for 7-8pm at St Peter’s, Kingmoor

Men’s Pub Meal:  Wednesday 25th November, 7pm at The Coach & Horses

Ladies’ Christmas Craft Evenings:  Thursday 26th & Friday 27th November, at St Peter’s, Kingmoor

A Taste of Christmas:  Thursday 10th December, 7pm at St John’s, Houghton

Early Spring Term 2027

Week of Prayer:  3rd – 9th January, 2-3pm at St John’s, Houghton, 8-9pm at St Peter’s, Kingmoor

Mental Health & The Church:  Saturday 30th January, 10-5pm at St Peter’s, Kingmoor
